Wendy’s, Bathroom Stalls, and Fake Conversations

Yesterday on the way down to Atlanta we stopped at Wendy’s for dinner.
I know what you are thinking…The cleanse obviously affected my lifestyle choices…
Anyways.
While taking my son to the restroom a man in the stall next to us asked us…
“You guys ok?”
To which I replied…
“Yea. We’re good”
To which he replied…
“Well tell mom I’m praying for her”
To which I realized he was on his phone…
To which I replied…
“We are totally good to head up there after the storm passes Brian. It’s gonna be close but we are good to try to make it”
To which Losiah looked at me like I was crazy…
To which I didn’t know how I was going to explain that I was pretending to talk to an imaginary Brian on my imaginary phone.

When was the last time you tried to save face after falling flat on it?

I say that the StallTalker is the one who should be embarrassed because it’s just not okay to be having a conversation on your phone (or across partitions) in a public bathroom. At home? Fine, fart/chat it up.

It’s worse when they’re standing next to you without a stall in between and you don’t see their Bluetooth. Then they’re looking at you like, “Why are you talking to me?”

Can I just say that people who talk to you from the other stall weird. me. out? Like, I love you and all, and I know we may or may not be close, but really? Just save it for the sinks.

I literally LOLed at this. Though I will say I often make conversation with coworkers through the stalls… but that’s way different than a stranger! And it’s usually in an attempt to mask any other sounds coming from my stall. Yeah.. yeah… TMI!

Last weekend. Taking an offering I accidentally said Lord while I was explaining why it was a joy to give. “Give if you’ve found that Joy Lord, we come to you today…..” Not so smooth.
