What was on your lunchbox as a kid?
The REAL Ghostbusters!
Darth Vader! Los, I wanted to say thank you for your unashamed approach to helping us live like Christ. I can’t explain on this simple comments section what you have done to help me reshape, and rethink MY relationship with the Creator. The problem was that is was just MY relationship. I was turning it into what I wanted it to be and what I had to offer, in the form of the gifts and talents God has allowed me to have. Anyway, thanks so much for listening to His call and being authentic in a way a lot are not. If you are ever in Colorado Springs I’d love to buy ya coffee and lunch!
The closest thing I had to a lunch box was a plastic Mario Bros box that I kept in my room.
Dukes of Hazzard!
Don’t Hassel the Hoff…
i had multiples over the course of my elementary days… Superman, Spiderman, Captain America, and Clash of the Titans!
1st was Barney
2nd was Barbie
3rd and most used was Scooby Doo
Mario Brothers 2 or Fighter Jets
I’d have to have a few but here are 3 of my top favs. Of Course the all plastic versions with thermos.
PacMan – Saturday Cartoons Version
Alf. Loved that puppet.
Mr. Bean, dood!
Charlie’s Angels, and when that got rusty, Charlie Brown and his buds.
Punky brewster and rainbow bright
Brown Bag, no lunchbox for this kid.
The Dukes of Hazzard.
I had two. One day was GI Joe and the next day I took HR Puff N Stuff
Sesame Street & then a plain purple one.
Benji. After I broke it by throwing it along the street like a hockey puck I got a brown bag.
The Empire Strikes Back … it’s still in my parent’s basement.
I wanted a Star Wars lunch box…so Mom got one for me w/ the friggin’ Ewoks on it. “Cmon… really, Mom?!?”
Q-Bert (the video game–such an 80s kid) and Garfield
Land of the Lost – I’m old!
Scooby’s Laff-a-limpics. My favorite character was Snagglepus. Exit stage left already!
Snoopy. It was a hand-me-down. It had “Ann Walter” printed on it. I’m glad I usually went home for lunch.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Boom.
the little mermaid
Never had a lunch box… Always had a paper sack.
Hong Kong Fooey
1st one was Star Trek
2nd one was plaid…not sure why
Holly Hobbie. But, I SO wanted a Star Wars lunch box.
My dad taped a family picture inside, and sometimes I would miss them and cry at lunch.
Rosie the Riveter!
My first grade year (I remember this because I was somewhat traumatized by it) I had the baddest lunch box a girl could have.
Batman and Robin. The originals.
And somebody stole it.
Stomach = empty (they got my lunch too!)
Heart = broken
Lunchbox thief…wherever you are today…I hope you are happy. Jesus says I should love you and forgive you, and the bigger part of me does. But there’s a small part of me that hopes you got sick on my lunch that day and puked for days.
So glad I got that off my chest. I feel some peace and inner healing taking place right now.
Old school metal lunchbox: The Muppet Show.
Slightly-less-old-school-but-safer plastic lunchbox: Snoopy.
Winnie The Pooh
Six Million Dollar Man
I don’t remember what exactly was on it, but I know there was a radio built in to it!
It was yellow and had the option to either use a built-in speaker or plug in headphones. Flippin sweet!
Back in the day it was Star Wars. Then…Several years ago a friend bought me a vintage superman lunchbox, and i thought…cool, but what am i going to do with this thing? Then it hit me…a PERFECT guitar tool-kit! Holds pics, strings, ebow, slide, etc. very nicely.
Roy Rogers and Trigger
