I’m over it now.
I think it was for a boy named Nikko.
I can’t remember.
But we are Facebook friends now so we’re cool.
And it led me to DeeDee. Who broke it the next year. Then Beth… Who broke… You get it…

Her name was Markelle (Kellie for short). She was my pastors daughter and my first ‘real’ love. We dated for 14 months (freshman and part of sophomore year). My life was over…haha!

A guy named Jeff. He was my first love. After we started dating he left to go to basic training for the Navy and we wrote each other every day, talked on the phone as much as possible. When he came back for leave he saw me the first day he was home and I never saw him or talked to him again until he finally told me he was breaking up with me. I vowed to never date anyone going into or already part of any armed services. lol

Daniel. He asked me out sophomore year while we were watching Charlie’s Angels in the movie theater. Then he made me a rose out of duct tape. The first time I held his hand I got a migraine because I was so nervous. He dumped me for a girl named Vanessa. And then again later for a girl named Mallory. You think I would have learned!

His name was Sean and for YEARS he was into me but I always dissed him. It wasn’t until this past Fall, something changed, we dated and I totally fell head over heels in love with him. Long story short, he moved away for the next 2 years and told me he needed to focus on other things. Douchie right? lol Experienced my first REAL heartbreak at 22.It was gnarly. But the Good thing? Since he’s be out of my life, good things have been happening, doors have been opened for new opportunities and I am feeling closer than ever to the Lord. BOOM! IN YO’ FACE SUCKA!

His name was Colin Bell. We stayed in the same apartment building. When we went to 1st grade we went to different schools, so we compared uniforms. In 2nd grade he transferred to my school and we were an item immediately. Then he dumped me. My hamster died that same night and I cried my eyes out… (over my hamster…which I hadn’t been feeding for a week… but everyone thought it was because of Colin. Then a few weeks later he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend again. I refused! So he coupled up with my best friend!!!!! Then his family left town and everyone felt sorry for her… little did they know…..

She was obsessed with Luke for 2 years before she met me. He was there with her and ‘it just happened’. She tried to tell me about him on the phone, but I was very sweet and trusting. I got the final blow through… an email.

His name was Rob Vis. I was in high school and we went to church together. We never dated, but he told me one night it was either going to be me or this other girl that he was best friends with. We stopped talking soon after, and so he eventually did marry the other girl.

His name was Michael. There had been other crushes, but he was the first guy I ever really loved. He didn’t feel the same. We are still friends. It just makes the idea of saying it to someone else that much more difficult.

Her name was Jenna. I was 15, and in my teenage temper, I punched a wall the next morning. Landed on a 2×4 stud and broke my right hand. It never healed properly so I have a ‘missing’ knuckle for my right hand pinkie finger.

Makes for a funny story, and a great reminder of what an unchecked temper can do.

Her name was Angi…I was a freshman and she was a junior. I took her to homecoming. She dumped me IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DANCE. This was after the pictures too. Then, she proceeded to leave the dance WITH ANOTHER GUY. You can tell how heartbroken I was with my dramatic caps lock typing.

My heart has been broken more times than I can count. All of that doesn’t seem to matter as seconds ago my 3 years daughter came over gave me a hug and asked if I was happy. One day she will more than likely break my heart too. Even with that knowledge I will continue to subject myself to the possibility of having my heart broken. You can’t have a broken heart unless you make yourself venerable and I am okay with that. The other alternative seems just to sad and lonely. God has done wonders with my broken heart.

My first boyfriend.
I was the pastor’s daughter, he was an elder’s son. We were both musicians on the church’s worship team. He was on fire for God and a leader in our outreach ministries, and I loved him with all my heart. We began dating at 16, and we dated for 5 years before he broke my heart.
He became an atheist, cynical, hardened and bitter, determined to “un-brainwash” as many Christians as he could after being enlightened at his far away college by philosophy professors and a new lifestyle.

I stood by his side through it for nearly 2 more years, not willing to leave him while he was lost, hoping his heart would be opened. But when he began to speak of marriage and children, I couldn’t do it any longer.

The hardest thing I’ve ever done was deciding when to let go.
He is still lost, and my heart still breaks.

LOL You and Judy! Go Dragons! I was in the 8th grade then. I think mine was a kid named Teddy. Im black he’s white… I realized peer pressure is probably what did us in. First boy that I ever cried over.

I broke my own heart, basically. I was in 9th grade and broke up with him for another guy, the realized I didn’t really like that other guy, I loved my ex. Well, he wanted nothing to do with me after that, and I spent the rest of high school pining after him. Even when I tried to get over him and forget about him, others didn’t help by telling me all about what he was doing.
