People that whistle in public used to drive me crazy.
Absolutely crazy.
You know why?
Because they had more joy than I did.
Now I stop and talk to every single one of them.
Why?
Because they are infused with joy.
They are.
Now that I have talked to enough of them I skip straight to the punch.
“‘Scuse me sir, (or ma’am) where can I get the joy that you seem to possess?”
I’ve heard various answers…
Hot Yoga. Good Coffee. Had sex with my wife this morning.
But I would say that 87.43% of whistlers say…
Jesus.
Jesus.
Who knew that Jesus caused people to whistle?
And the last few months, as I have literally infused Jesus into my life in ways I have never in my 30 some odd years of life on this planet, you know what I’m doing more?
Whistling…
Poorly…
But I’m whistling.
Jesus can infuse joy into you and the joy will come out in various ways.
It may not be a whistle, but it will be strength.
I pray you are infused with the joy of the Lord today because scripture promises us…
It is our strength.
