Every time I get a free tshirt at a conference or something I end up giving it away to goodwill.

There are 2 reasons for this.
1.  I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing the LAME design in public.
2.  When I put it on I feel like I am wearing a cardboard box.

Let me spell this out for you in 5 letters. C-H-E-A-P

Why do Christians insist on making cheap tees?  Something is broken if your ministry spends money on anything that doesn’t serve it’s purpose.  If you create a custom t-shirt that doesn’t get worn you are wasting your ministry’s money. Period.

It’s time to make a change and I found someone who bucks the trend…
Meet my friends at AMB3R.com. AMB3R creates fashion inspired, custom t-shirts that feel and look amazing by aligning your tees with market trends. They not only increase profits, but also improve wearability which makes your marketing dollars go much farther.

Google “cheap tshirts”.  Go ahead.  Now you decide.

Now you don’t have to guess. Trust me Ragamuffins. These guys will not only win over your business, but they will be your tshirt provider for years to come.

Head over to AMB3R’s website and tell them I sent you. They are offering free shipping to anyone that mentions me in the comments field of their new project form on the homepage. Order your shirts and come back to thank me for the look and feel of the shirts.

Question…
What is your current favorite TSHIRT on the planet and why?
Tell us in the comments and tweet @AMB3Rtshirts with hash-tag #ragamuffin to qualify for a free t-shirt upgrade raffle on any projects started in June and completed by August 1st.

My current favorite tshirt is one I got as a volunteer at my church. It’s seriously the softest, most comfy tshirt I own.

      @Brenda,

That’s awesome! Sometimes strategically investing $1 extra into a softer style is all it takes to compliment a good design and keep it number one in the closet.

My dad is hearing impaired and he had a t-shirt that says “is this the part where I nod my head and pretend that I was listening ” … He wears it all the time … Cracks me up everytime !

      @Missy,

That’s seriously hilarious. It’s hard to pull off humor in t-shirts and that definitely hits the spot.

My “favorite t-shirt” comes and goes as when I find one, I will wear it to its grave until there are at least 5 holes, then will retire it by giving it away to someone who can carry it on to its next stage of existence. Actually, until my wife tells me I am no longer allowed to wear it. Often it goes from public usage, to personal at home usage, then to some outlet where I give it away.

Having said that, my current favorite t-shirt is one made my Amb3r, more specifically one made my its president and CEO Jeremy Picker called – Zofia & Jeremy – It was a t-shirt they made for everyone in their wedding party. Amazingly comfortable, with a killer design that embodied their union by displaying 2-piece design symbolizing their union and the weekend event when they got married.

I can see this one never going away no matter how many holes it will obtain, since it was a personal statement and gift from close friends. I will wear it to its end, the will store it as I would a picture for years to come so I can always refer back to the date I received it and be reminded of what a great time and memories were created by it.

    Thanks!

My favorite t-shirt has a soft, one-color print of a dollar sign.

    1) It is side seemed and fits well
    2) The design has a unique, soft feel
    3) Everyone has their own interpretation of what it means. ‘Escape the Rat Race’ and ‘Take the Money and Run’ are among my favorites.

My favorite shirt is one I got while volunteering for the Story Conference last year. It’s super soft and has a random sparrow or crow or some kind of bird.

AMB3R seriously know what they are doing!!

Been working with them since February and I am not disappointed!

As a customer, working with them to come up with a final product is a fun process. They know how to serve those who know nothing or very little about design or the creation of a T-Shirt as well as being about to connect with seasoned pros.

A testament to their work, the most common reactions to the shirts we have created together are, “That design is sick, did you do that?!” “That shirt looks so good on ______ (insert person wearing it).” They have AWESOME DESIGNS, and they have AMAZING quality!

It’s a white shirt with a huge bloody patch on the side. The caption on the front says, “I’m fine.” So awesome.

My favorite shirt right now is one I got from TWLOHA. It says fears versus dreams, and pain versus hope. Since my struggles are anxiety (fear) and depression (pain), it fits me perfectly (no pun intended…). And it’s rather soft.

I’ve had this shirt for years and it says “I can only please one person at a time. Today is not your day. Tomorrow is not looking good either” — When I’m in a “mood” and I need my space, I def wear this… it works!

    • http://runninginsideme.wordpress.com Jessi

      One person a day***

my favorite t-shirt (of which I have 3, each a different color) is my Give A Shirt shirt (www.igiveashirt.org). It’s a non-profit started by high schoolers at friends’ church in Salem, Oregon to raise money to help the 900+ homeless teens in their area. It’s cheeky & always help to start a conversation about the homelessness we have in the US.

  • LeAnn A

    I have 2 favorites:
1 is a Doctor Who shirt that has a picture of a Dalek (one of the aliens) on it in a green Starbucks apron and the side says, “caffeinate!” (for those that don’t get whovian humor- a dalek’s favorite word is “exterminate”)

2nd fav is a Rapha House shirt that has a really cool design with a “stop human trafficking” message on the front.

Just about any shirt I buy from threadless.com

  • http://carolesmithturner.com Carole Turner

My favorite t-shirt is one that I got from Project Hopeful, their Truth Pandemic shirt. It is so soft and fits perfectly. You can tell it’s not cheap.

As a graphic designer who’s done a lot of shirts in his time, I can identify with this for sure. However, the main issue with “Christian design” is that it certainly is not one size fits all. I can come up with the coolest design a church has ever seen, but 90% of the time it will get printed on that ‘cardboard box’ you speak of. More often than not this is not because of the price of the nicer shirts with a softer feel. It’s because there are plenty of physically large volunteers or others at that church. That guy or that lady have hearts a lot bigger than their size and give of themselves as such, so of course they deserve a t-shirt, too. But 98% of those “cool” shirts you speak of don’t care about those folks. They only go up to size 2XL if you’re lucky, and some only XL. Nobody wants to buy 2-3 different types of t-shirt with the same design for their congregation. Nice, soft v-neck tees for 4/5 of the congregation and boxy, Hanes Beefy Tees for the larger 1/5? That ain’t gonna fly. The usual answer from printers will be “Well, there’s this one brand that makes soft hand shirts up to 5XL, but the blue is a different shade and they run $12 for blanks, plus another $4 for 5XL…” So what the whole order becomes is cheap shirts with a great design.

I have way too many plain v-neck tees from Old Navy. they are so soft and simple (and cheap, there’s that factor) that I cannot stop buying them in every color. Wearing a slate gray one today.

    • http://www.meetbrentdouglas.com Brent

Ditto on the Old Navy shirts! They come in tall, too, which is a win for me!

  • http://anneroyster.blogspot.com Anne Nicole Royster

Currently is one my friends found in the mall (here in KOREA; I couldn’t believe that it fit!) a couple months ago.

    It’s soft.
It came in both women’s and unisex cuts. (I bought the women’s kind. It’s softer and fits better.)
It’s the perfect moss green to make my eyes pop.
And it has my family’s last name on it. (Why? No one knows. I asked the sales help and everything, but it’s big and bold across the front, while still managing to look good).

Yes, I bought one for every member of the family who still has that last name.

Here is my new favorite Christian tshirt that I actually designed (go to my website to see it). It seriously attracts all kinds of comments in public and give people a chance to share grace.

This is actually totally what’s been on my mind recently. pretty much EVERY T-shirt I have in my dresser has to do with some area that I have served in. I don’t mind that sometimes, but when I am going out somewhere I really wish I didn’t only that option or what I wear to work, which is usually business attire. I’ve been thinking about how I wish there were t-shirts out there that still portrayed Christ and were thought provoking but didn’t cry out Children’s Ministry or This ministry. I think sometimes a non-believer maybe turned off by that but I think if something is more thought provoking and directs them to Christ in a way, then maybe just maybe that could do something more than we could imagine, maybe even win some souls for Christ.

We design our own tees specific to our events and print them through RebornWear. They print on anything we want (AA, Canvas Tee’s, anything). In fact, they do a great job and since we design in house it’s actually stuff that we wear.

If you guys are looking for a printer hit me up at my above email and I can pass you on to Chad and the fella’s at RebornWear.

ps – I agree though that I could walk into any thrift store and parouse the racks of terrible Christian tee’s :-)
