A girl. Named Theresia. We used to sit and talk for hours. About everything. And nothing. She’s the best friend I’ve ever had. Never served as wing man, though. That would be weird. Even though I had a girlfriend, Theresia was my go-to on just about everything.

She helped me through some of the most heinous junk life ever threw at me. I hurt her deeply. She forgave me.

Then we got married.

Then life started throwing that heinous junk at her. Now it’s my turn.

Definitely my husband. He is so hilarious I can’t even handle it. Even though we share a lot of serious and deeper moments, we have so much fun together. There’s no one else I’d rather spend time with (most of the time).

My friend Cheech. I met her in college, and we were friends, then she transferred across the country and we lost touch for a few years. We reconnected a few years later online, and our friendship just clicked. She knows all my dirty secrets, I can text her whenever, and we write each other weekly for some accountability. Last summer she got married, and getting to fly out there and spend three days with her in person was the highlight of my year. We have a similar sense of humor, and we’re both crazy theatre people.
