I choose the stairs, btw the images should be reversed.

  • http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com loswhit

    I’ll go first.
Escalator. Every time. And I’m a mix of the 2 silhouettes.

  • Albert

If I’m physically feelin’ it, I go left.

    • Albert

And if I’m carrying luggage, right…every time. Left makes me hate life.

  • http://www.ministrytech.net Keith

80% of the time I go escalator but (pretty sure) I resemble the silhouette for the stairs.

  • BriAnne

I’m in the middle of the images.. everyday is a different day depending on how my knees feel.. 32 with 2 bad knees makes that choice a day by day decision.. but if possible, I take the stairs always…

  • Dan

the funny thing is I’m smack in the middle of the silhouettes and it’s probably because I only take the stairs about half the time.

  • http://shelbyisrad.wordpress.com Shelby

I choose escalator and i’m the left silhouette.
I think escalators are way more fun

  • http://brendasbrainchild.blogspot.com Brenda

I have thought escalators are incredibly fun ever since I was a kid. So it’s really not even an option to take the stairs if the escalator is working. At the Target downtown, they even have an escalator for your cart, which is still one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen at a Target. And yeah, I do resemble the escalator silhouette, but we all know it’s about a series of choices in your life, not just the choice to take the escalator.

  • http://www.ericfrisch.com Eric

I’m in between the silhouettes, as well… typically, I’ll take the stairs, unless there’s nobody on the escalator – then I’m the guy that walks up the escalator :-)

    • Chad

Ditto. I’m the silhouette on the left, but I walk the escalator. Nothing wrong with being fit, timely, and wise all in one shot. ;-)

  • Carrie

I go escalator but only bc i have bad knees.

The right handed pic would be me.

  • http://tracykase.com tracekase

i’m the left silhouette and i almost always take the stairs because i have this thing where i basically have to run up stairs…i can’t walk. and being stuck behind someone on an escalator drives me crazy too. i blame it on my dad…he’s always been a fast walker and when i was a kid i used to have to run to keep up with him :)

  • http://matreames.tk @matreames

When I was a kid growing up in New Jersey, I would walk the length of the mall to find the escalator rather than taking the stairs. Now as an ‘adult’ I find myself always taking the stairs.

  • http://www.vpleonard.com V

Stairs. Every once in a while I run up them…just to remind myself I still can. And I’m on the left, for the most part.

      Thank you Lisa

Some jackasses choose to try and shame others into being healthy. It is as superiority complex that really burns my…butt. And then there are those who choose to enjoy life and do things like in the video you posted. I think the difference between the picture posted at the top and the video is that one royally pisses people off, offends them, and lets them know that they are losers; the video you posted encourages people to enjoy the journey and try to make good choices along the way.

SPLAT! That was me tripping while getting off my soapbox.

  • http://www.jessiwhitt.wordpress.com Jessi

I’m the silhouette on the left, but I go escalators every time…who doesn’t love moving stairs! And, does anyone else do the thing where, when take the escalator down, they put their awesome face on like they’re Ray & Charlie in that escalator scene from Rain Man? No? Me either.

  • Phronsie

Alone? Up the stairs. With all three kids, escalator because my kids love those. And I’m the one on the left.

  • http://wvpv.me wvpv

    Let’s race.

  • Sarah

Escalator normally. Hey with 4 kids you have to. If I’m by myself I will use the stairs.

  • Sarah

Oh and I’m the one on the left.

  • http://www.stringsforhope.com Laura

Are you people crazy? Escalators are dangerous and will chew up adults on cell phones and children with untied shoes. They are blood thirsty people eating pieces of transportation. Deny it all you want. I stand by my assessment. Stairs or elevator only. Never escalator.

  • http://andykiff.wordpress.com Andy

I choose the stairs. But sometimes the escalator chooses me.

  • http://www.maeflowerphotography.com Amanda Mae

I’m in the middle, and I usually take the stairs because I hate escalators, and I feel like they are going to eat my feet when I’m getting off.

However, I find it interesting that pretty much everyone who takes the escalator felt the need to justify it somehow. I mean, it’s more convenient, and if you walk up the escalator it significantly I would take it all the time if I didn’t find it so terrifying.

    • http://www.maeflowerphotography.com Amanda Mae

      significantly faster, that is.

  • http://jasonthomascormier.wordpress.com/ Jason Cormier

I am like a rail and I would say it depended on if I had luggage. BTW, if that pic is real it is lame.

  • Aaron P.

left side for both most of the time, especially when I’m trying to impress myself or others by taking the stairs. However, when I’m at the ATL airport then i hit the escalator all the way, oh yea, and the people mover in Denver is pretty cool too.

  • http://digitalsermontranscription.com/default.aspx Ginger Schell

I need those silhouettes in my home. One pointed toward the refrigerator and the other one pointed toward the treadmill. :-)

  • MJT

Escalator, osteoarthritis in knees, picture on the left is more like me..

  • Renee

I’m on the left, both in taking the stairs and picture resemblance. I prefer the stairs, always have.

  • http://www.zazzle.com/palmerphotography Michelle

I’m the silhouette on the right. And it depends on how I’m feeling, how much energy I have, how many bags I have with me. Which makes sense. (Gonna have a personal revelation here, if that’s okay.) My silhouette is a result of the fact that I live by my feelings, not by what’s better. Need to readjust, I think.

  • http://nextstopnineveh.wordpress.com Virgil

    Bro

I’d put an escalator in my house if I could afford it.

  • http://supermanfan85.wordpress.com Jessi

Im a mix of both silhouettes but more close to the one on the right. I try to take the stairs as much as I can, especially if my back isn’t hurting. Unfortunately most of the time with a 3 yr old, she wants to do the escalator cause its more fun lol
